The late Mrs Mary Healy

The unexpected death last Sunday of Mary Healy(nee Hughes) Ballynonty, Thurles came as a shock and sadness to all in Johnstown who knew her. Mary was daughter of the late Dan and Dolly Hughes, Ballyspellan and moved to Ballynonty on her marriage. An ardent GAA follower and in particular Kilkenny, she never missed travelling to an All Ireland when Kilkenny played. A comparatively young woman her death will leave a great void in her family particularly with her husband Michael, daughters Aine and Maria, son Patrick, brother Paddy, sister Breda, aunt, cousins, brother in law and many friends and neighbours both in Johnstown and Ballynonty. The requiem Mass for Mary was celebrated in the church of St Patrick and Oliver, Glengoole last Wednesday followed by burial in Crosscannon Cemetery, Killenaule. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
