Ballyfoyle Gymkhana this Sunday

Ballyfoyle Gymkhana-This year’s gymkhana will be held on Sunday June the 24th. A great community event not to be missed. With showjumping classes, lead rein, dog show plus catering tent. Volunteers needed to set up field Thursday and Friday evening at 7pm and Saturday afternoon from 2pm. Donations of cakes and buns welcomed. Brow Rangers A.C-The last day of the Kilkenny c/ships was held in Scanlon Park lately. Brow rangers won 20 medals, Aoife Coady had a very good day and she won 5 medals In the junior womens events. aoife coady came 1st in the shot and hammer and also came 2nd in the discus javelin and long jump. In the u16 hammer John Joe Kelly was 1st and Adam Kelly was 2nd,while in the senior hammer Joe Kelly was 1st.

In the senior mens shot and discus Joe, Sean and Kieran Kelly was 1st, 2nd and 3rd .

In the men over 45 shot John Kelly was 1st and in the over 50s shot Murty Kelly was 1st and Jimmy Kelly was 2nd.

Joe Kelly was 2nd in the senior mens javelin and Jimmy Kelly was 1st in the over 60s 200n.

The brow rangers won 56 medals at these c/ships and had 31 athletes taking part.

The Saint Abbans open sports was held lately and brow rangers finished 4th in the over all team events, there was over 30 clubs that took part. Matthew Cullen won 5 medals he was 2nd in the u14 shot and 100m and 3rd in the 700m, discus and hammer. John Joe Kelly was 1st in the shot, 2nd in the hammer ,700m and triple jump Aoife Coady was 1st in the u17 100m and 3rd in the shot. In the girls u10 ball throw Eadoin Coady was 1st and Katie Purcell was 3rd. Patrick Darcy was 1st in the u14 shot and Adam Kelly was 2nd in the u15 discus. Roisin Coady was 3rd in the u14 shot others who competed were Shauna And Siobhan Coady, Kate Cullen ,ciaran Coady And Theresa Kelly

Coon N.S.-End of year concert in Coon Hall on Thursday, 21st June at 7p.m. second green flag raising ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 26th June at 11am. The ceremony will be followed by refreshments at 11.45am. Family members, friends and neighbours are very welcome.

Annual cemetery Masses-Ballyfoyle- Friday 6th July at 7.30 pm. Muckalee- Friday, 13th July at 7.30pm.

Active Retirement-Outing to Cobh and Fota Wildlife Park on Tuesday, 26th June.
