The third annual Classic Steam and Vintage field day is being held at Thomastown on Sunday. As usual this event will have steam engines, classic tractors, commercial vehicles and cars on show. The venue is again at the picturesque site on the Nore, in the shadow of Grennan castle.
This year there is the added attraction of an open Sheep Dog trial organised by Simon Mosse and Ned O’Keeffe. With novelty and fun events for all the family, Thomastown will be the place to be on Sunday. The sheep dog trials commence at 9am with the full field day starting at 1pm. All proceeds go to local charities. Note the change in date from last year (to avoid a clash with a hurling match!)
