CLONEEN LOSE FINAL - After a successful league campaign, Cloneen failed at the last hurdle when losing the final to southern side Piltown in St. Johns Park on Sunday. The young Cloneen side fought gallantly against a strong Piltown team who are only a few seasons out of the Intermediate grade. The final score was 0-21 to 2-9.

FUN DAY - The disasterous summer is about to get much better this weekend when the Clogh Family Fun day takes place in the Community Field on Sunday. The Community Council have promised a lively fun filled day and much long awaited sunshine. There will be loads of opportuity to win prizes for the athletic and not so athletic. This year for the first time ever will feature a camogie between the local girls Cloneen and neighbours St, Martins. Get out on Sunday and enjoy the bit of summer that wasn’t and build the mood for another All Ireland final a week later.
