Cuffesgrange Kids Karate Club - Classes in Karate for Kids will begin in Churchill N.S. Gymnasium on Monday, January 28 and will run on an ongoing basis every Monday from 3:15pm - 4pm. The ‘After-School’ Kids Only Karate Class is for boys and girls aged between 4 and 12 years old. Members of the club will be taught karate techniques and self-defence drills. There will also be a strong focus on physical fitness. Plenty of fun and games will also be incorporated in to the classes.

The ability to protect oneself. Psychological Benefits: Improved confidence, Become more assertive, Improved self-esteem. The classes will be run by the Budo Martial Arts Centre. This Kilkenny club is already very well established in Kilkenny and has a large number of kids who train regularly in the clubs Kilkenny City venue’s, the Watershed, the Loreto Sports Hall and Danesfort Community Hall. The first two weeks are free of charge for all kids interested in trying out karate. No special gear is needed, just turn up in a tracksuit and away you go.
