Stoneyford: Robert and Kathleen wed in St Patrick’s

Wedding Bells - The Marriage was celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Kilkenny of Robert King, son of Tom and Teresa King, Anamult, Stoneyford and Kathleen Shortall , daughter of Michael and Stella Shortall, Shellumsrath, Kilkenny. The Ceremony was performed by Fr. Dan Carroll. The Bride was attended by her Bridesmaids, Teresa Shortall, Elizabeth Keenehan and Vivienne King. The Groom chose his brother William as his bestman and Bernard Jacob and Anthony Martin as Groomsmen. Page Boy was Conor Keenehan and Shoona King was Flower Girl. The beautiful Church music was provided by Harpist and soloist Rachael Reid. The reception was held in the Lord Bagnel Hotel in Bagenalstown.

Stoneyford Development Association - The Senior Citizen Christmas Party held in Ennisnag Lounge recently was a very enjoyable day. About fifty five guests were seated and again the catering was in the very capable hands of Alan Cullen. The Mellow Chords provided the Music and Tom King as usual excelled as M.C. Joe White Chairman of the Association, welcomed the Guests.

Death Notice - The death occurred in England on January 3 of Sheila Hurley nee Raggett, late of “ The Cottage” Stoneyford. She was 86 years old. Her Funeral will take place in England on Friday next. Mass in celebration of her life will be celebrated in St. Brendan’s Church, Stoneyford on Saturday evening at 6.30. She is survived by her Husband Jimmy and her daughter Bernadette, also her brothers Michael Raggett, Newmarket and Bernard Raggett,Stoneyford, Her sister Carmel Clarken, England, Brother-in-law, Joe, Nephews and Nieces. May She Rest in Peace.

Computer Course - There are still places available for the computer courses being held shortly in the Community Centre. Anyone interested please contact Michael Collins or Joe White as soon as possible.

Congratulations - Congrats to Mary Hickey formerly of Anamult and her husband who recently became the proud parents of a baby girl, Lottie. Mary is daughter of John and Betty Hickey and sister of Gabrielle.
