Carrigeen GAA CLUB - The club’s AGM will take place on Wednesday the 14th November at 8pm in the sports complex. All intending members, players and supporters are encouraged to attend.
Mooncoin Christmas Fair - The Christmas Fair will be held in the Parish Hall on Sunday, December 2nd starting at 1.30pm. All the usual stalls will be there. We are appealing for your support through your donations of Homemade cakes and buns, fruit and vegetables shrubs, bottles and toys, new or unused gift items, bric-a-brac etc. Last year we were saved the cost of a skip, as the items donated were all of reliable quality. The proceeds of the Christmas Fair go towards the upkeep of the Parish Hall. During the year the hall was painted inside and outside, backrooms refurbished, new water boiler installed and the hall is now up to standard fire regulations Your support and generosity makes this possibleDuring the month of November tickets will be on sale for the needs of the hall. Prizes include 32” Samsung Flat Screen TV a Toshiba Laptop and a One 4 All Voucher, amongst other great prizes. We ask you to support this effort by buying tickets €2 for 1 or €5 for a book of 3. The late Jim O’ NeiLl - Jim O’Neill, Corluddy, Carrigeen, Mooncoin, Co. Kilkenny and late of Belmont Road, Ferrybank died suddenly on Tuesday last. The funeral was from Power’s Funeral Home, Ferrybank to St. Kevin’s Church, Carrigeen. Burial followed requiem mass on Thursday last. Deepest sympathy to his family, relatives and friends on their sad loss.
The late Lily Corcoran - The death of Lily Corcoran (Nee Connolly), Rosedale, Kilmacow, Co Kilkenny And Formerly of Grange, Mooncoin, Co Kilkenny, died last weekend at Waterford Regional Hospital. The funeral was to St. Senan’s Church, Kilmacow, and the burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Deepest sympathy to her son , daughter and extended family, relatives and friends.
Irish Kidney Association - Thanks to all that subscribed to the Irish Kidney Association’s church gate collection recently.Some fund raising events will be held later in the year and kidney transplant recipients will visit some school’s to tell their stories about being on dialysis and to bring about the awareness of organ donors.
