EASTER CRAFTS - All are invited to an Easter Craft Sale and Open morning this morning (Wednesday, 27 March) from 11:30am to 2:30pm at the Irish Wheelchair Association, Claddagh Road (opposite the main entrance to St. Kieran’s College on College Road), Kilkenny. On offer will be delicious homemade cakes, breads, chutneys, pickles, an Easter Crafts raffle and much more.

All proceeds to the Irish Wheelchair Association.

There are a number of local people who are members of the association and benefit from a variety of activities from computers, arts, crafts, social building and other educational skills and families also avail of the respite care being provided at the centre. Your help to continue this work would be appreciated.

TABLE QUIZ - St. Brigid’s Camogie Club will hold it’s Annual Table Quiz in The Pound, Ballycallan on Thursday night, 28 March commencing at 9:30pm. €20 per table of four. All are welcome.

EASTER WHIST - St. Brigid’s Camogie Club will hold its Easter Whist Drive on Friday night, 29 March in Palmerstown venue commencing at 8:30pm. €50 for top score plus numerous other prizes. All are welcome.

DAY CARE & CAFÉ - Day care centre for people living with Alzheimer’s/dementia at 1 Fr. Walsh Close, Coote’s Lane is open between 9:30am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday. Lots of activities to be had including bingo, cards, art, pottery, music, poetry, reminisce and day trips - meals included.

The Alzheimer Cafe is a safe relaxed atmosphere offering an opportunity for people living with dementia and their carers/family members to come and meet, talk and share information. Talks from specific health care professionals. Venue is Harry’s Bar, Langtons, next Wednesday, 3 April 2013 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. All are welcome.

ROMANTIC GATHERING - This is the time to show love in abundance by getting people in the locality to bake a ‘Love cake’ for the Home Care Team. This will entail taking the cake to Oldtown Hill Shop in High Street, Kilkenny where they will take a slice and judge it but big you back your cake to enjoy yourself.

The prize is your house cleaned top to bottom by McCreery Contract Cleaners free and your own personal Butler for the day.

ALL IRELAND MEDALS - Congratulations to Marie Doheny, Stacy Nugent and Emer Keoghan who played on Loreto’s Senior team to win Colleges All Ireland recently.

Also congratulations to Ann Doheny, Caoimhe Murphy, Emer Keoghan and Charlotte McCluskey who were on the Loreto Junior team that also won Colleges All Ireland.
