Easter Fair at Claddagh Court on Wednesday

SENIOR COLLEGES HURLING-Congratulations to Kilkenny C.B.S who had a great win during the week over Mercy Colleges, Galway to plant their feet firmly in the All Ireland Colleges final. At the time of writing the other semi final which involves St. Kieran’s College had not been played. Dicksboro players make up the majority of this C.B.S team and it is encouraging to see so many playing at the highest level in the country in their age group.

SYMPATHY- All in Dicksboro GAA Club wish to pass on their sympathy to a regular card player over the last few years, Christy Walsh and family of Talbot’s Inch on the death of his wife Kathleen, who passed away on Thursday last, March 21.

BEST WISHES-Best wishes are extended to Phil Doyle, Dicksboro supporter, card player and ex player, who is recuperating after a recent operation. All look forward to seeing Phil back in the ‘Boro club in the near future.

DOUBLE VICTORY- Congratulations to the Loreto Secondary School who had a double victory in the O’Neills Post Primary Schools All-Ireland Championship Finals recently – securing victory in both the Senior and Junior ranks. Dicksboro players on the Senior team and panel were Kirsty Maher, Rachel Lynch, Jenny Clifford, Orla Hanrick, Danielle Kenny, Eva Maher, Aoife Prendergast and Jenna Sherwin. The Junior team and panel, captained by ‘Boro player Kirsty Maher, also included Jenny Clifford, Emma Bawle, Elaine Cullinane and Eadaoin Doheny.

WALK- The Annual Good Friday walk led by Bishop Séamus Freeman, SAC will take place this Good Friday from St. John’s Church at 7p.m. through the city to St. Mary’s Cathedral for Prayer around the Cross. All welcome.

FUNDRAISING CONCERT- A Concert will be held in St Canice’s Church in aid of St. Canice’s Parish Homes for the Elderly, Troy’s Court on Wednesday 3rd April at 8pm. Admission 10 euro. The Concert features The Lander Valley High School Choir from Wyoming USA and the Sospiro Male Voice Choir. Your support and generosity on the night would be very much appreciated.
