The committee request that people removing decaying and unwantred wreaths and floweres from their graves would take them away with them and dispose of them with their wastw disposal.A lot of voluntary work goes into the task of keeping the cemetery clean and free from unneccesary dumping and all are asked to cooperatein keeping ity a littere free area.

KNOCK PILGRIMAGE - The St. Josephs Young Priests Society wish to announce that the Annual Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Saturday June 22nd.The coach will depart from Thomastown at 7.30am approx..returning at 10.30pm. Anyone interested in travelling are asked to contact Mary O’Carroll at 059 9724415.

FUN RUN - Last Sundays Fun Run in memory of the Bairbre Lonergan was an outstanding success. The sun shone and the entries were up on last year and all the competitors were fulsome in their praies of the scenic route along the Wood Road,Clohastia, Knockbodally.Killeen, on to the Borris Road before traversing along the by pass to return to the finishing line at the Boathouse.Here all were treated to a barbecue, live music Brass Band recital and fun and games for the kids. Great credit is due to the organisers and the volunteers who gave unstingly of their time to make the annual event a success.

LOTTO - There was no winner in the lotto draw which now has a jackpot of £10.000. The jackpot will remain frozen at £10,ooo until some lucky punter is succesful in matching the numbers drawn .Meanwhile the supplementary will contiue to increase every week and will kick when the major one is won.
