Tidy Towns - 9 am last Saturday when the 2Hour Gang was out clearing weeds and debris from the Inistioge Road at Dangan Terrace, a group of French Motorbike Tourists arrived.  They were surprised to be greeted by a group people wearing Visi Vests, armed with Yard brushes, shovels, wheelbarrows etc. and inquired as to the event. They were informed that it was a community group preparing for the Tidy Towns Competition whereupon one of the group exclaimed that he had never seen such an activity in France!

The improvements to the main artery roads into the town are very noticeable and it is the intent of Tidy Towns Committee to continue with the work.  New members of the 2Hour Gang are still needed in order to complete the planned work to enhance the appearance of our town and its environs.  We had a new star (Hurling) member who joined in and we are delighted to have his assistance.  All hands are needed.

The Town is looking good but it can be better. We have a special request to all business and private property owners/ tenants. Please step outside your front door and take a look at your frontage. If you think it is good and clean and fresh then that’s fine. If you think you can do better, please do so. Any improvement will be to the benefit of the Town and should help us in the Competition.
