BORD NA NOG
The minor team lost out to a superior Carrickshock side in the semi final of the Roinn C championship last Saturday in Bennetsbridge. The southern side showed why they were favourites for this game as they started very well and our lads were playing catch up the entire game. As always this team battled to the last as they have done throughout this campaign. They gave their all in training and were a great bunch of lads to be associated with.

Willow park 9 v 0 Brookville AFC . Our lads suffered a heavy defeat away in Athlone last night. Despite the score line the lads never gave up and gave their all against an excellent side that have won their own premier league for the last six seasons and are obviously serious contenders in the FAI junior cup. Team JJ O Sullivan, Ciarán Stone, Shane Phelan, Liam Brennan, Billy Irwin, Gary Butler, Paddy Rudkins, Gary Hogan, John Holland, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Stephen Ruth. Subs: Anthony Butler (C Stone) Eddie Thornton (G Butler) Sean Stapleton (K Fitz) Ciaran Butler, Dillon Geoghan. Best for Brookville were Shane Phelan, Paddy Rudkins, Kevin Fitz and Stephen Ruth.
Highview 2 Brookville 1. The boys were extremely unlucky to not come away with at least a point from the game on Saturday in what was a close fought game. Both teams had chances to win the game with Brookville looking very dominant at times. Unfortunately however even after taking the lead, with what was almost the last kick of the game the ball fell awkwardly in the box and managed to find its way in to the Brookville net. It was bad luck for the boys who showed great signs of improvement and played lovely football at times. Team on the day was: Sean Dowling, Mick Kelly, Darragh Waters, Kieran Walshe, Dan Brophy, Kevin Butler, Cian Drennan, Joshua Wallace, Ryan Bolger, Jack Morrissey, Sean Moore. Subs: John Cash for Sean Dowling, Roan Bolger for Kieran Walshe. NATIONAL DRAW
