SPECIAL PRESENTATION FOR JJ

SPECIAL PRESENTATION FOR JJ

There was a lovely evening in Ionad Dara on Saturday night last when the St. Patrick’s Day committee held a special presentation for JJ English who was crowned U17 All-Ireland Handball Champion recently. It was very well supported and lovely to see so many members of the Handball Club, friends, neighbours and local people in attendance. This night is about recognising the excellent voluntary work being done by so many people involved in community groups, residents associations, schools, businesses in their villages and towns, north, south, east & west of the county. It is a night that recognises the great people in our communities who give selflessly of their time in an effort to enhance the environment in which they live and this is one of the reasons why the county performs so well in international and national competitions such Entente Florale, Tidy Towns, Co-Operation Ireland, Pride of Place etc. All are welcome to come along and celebrate your community achievements.
