MINORS IN THE FINAL
Danesfort Minor team will contest the Kilkenny Honda Centre Minor Hurling Championship Roinn B Final on Saturday. Having defeated Barrow Rangers in the quarter final, Danesfort took on Clara in Freshford last Saturday in the semi’s with the local boys coming out on top by 1-14 to 2-6. Danesfort now face Conahy Shamrocks in the final, the venue and time undecided at time of going to print.

Congratulations must go to the Danesfort Under-14 hurlers who won the Roinn B League by defeating Mooncoin 3-9 to 1-13, in the League Final played in Ballyhale. The team management were Richie O’Keeffe, Kevin Barragry and Peter Davis.
Fort Rangers enjoyed a successful weekend on the field of play. The under 10’s got the ball rolling in Saturday with a resounding 8-2 victory followed by the under 14’s gaining an impressive 2-0 home win at home to Deen Celtic. The under 11’s then played their part by travelling to Castlecomer and recording a confidence boosting 3-1 victory. The under 19’s travelled toThomastown on Saturday for a friendly and emerged with a 2-1 win.
On Sunday, the junior team hosted Clara from Offaly in the FAI Junior Cup. This proved to be a very tough, fast game and the locals did very well to beat opposition who were playing intermediate league football up to a few years ago. Goals from Tony Moran, Stephen McKenna and Cathal O’ Neill sealed the locals third win in a row in all competitions. Fort travel to Dublin next Sunday for a Leinster junior cup game against Portland FC from Raheny. Finally, all at Fort Rangers wish the Danesfort minor hurling team the best of luck in this weekends county final against Conahy.

Danesfort Parent-Carer -baby and toddler group, meet on monday mornings 10.30a.m - 12.30 p.m, at The community Centre, Danesfort.
Toddlers and parents enjoy activites such as action songs, arts and crafts and out door play with sand and toddler walks. New members are always very welcome , on first morning come along early if possible 10.25am to help settle in toddlers.
