Soccer - the u13s were crowned champions in thursday night for the second year in a row despite not playing with Evergreen and Bridge Utd drawing 1-1 either side needing to win to stay in the hunt giving the locals the title but on sunday the lost out in the cup semi final clash away to bridge united unlucky to go in 1..0 down at the break. thomastown hit the bar 2mins into the new half but that was as good as it got with bridge deservingly winning 2.0 at the finish.

Eoin hayes u16s had an easy 8.0 victory away to evergreen b with cian o mara helping himself to a hat trick adam butler got 2 and Tim Cummins Danny Monks and little Aaron Kehoe also scoring.

The u11s finished thier season with 2 games on thursday they hit east end for five with jamie holden james drea patrick brennan jack holden and cian mccormack all on the score sheet in theri 5.1 win. while on sunday evening roving jack gilson hit the equalizer in a 1.1draw with evergreen finishing second to freebooters in the league.

Kilkenny Community Forum - Kilkenny Community & Voluntary Forum will hold its Annual General Meeting in the Ormonde Hotel on Thursday 17th May at 8pm. This informational evening is open to all members of community and voluntary groups in Kilkenny City and County. A presentation on Local Development Plans will be given by Mr Denis Malone, Senior Engineer, Kilkenny County Council. Organisations in the county who have a community element such as the HSE, Digital Switchover Programme etc will have display stands on the night, to share their information with volunteers in the County. Light refreshments will be served after the meeting.
