Darren told to rest his voice

Darren Holden update- Darren Holden says “I am hoping to come back stronger after treatment and vocal rest. I will still try to sing at all High Kings concerts this summer but in the event of vocal tiredness will hold back completely and let the lads do their thing” Due to an ongoing vocal nodule problem, Darren may not sing at some HK concerts this summer. He has also been instructed to rest his voice after shows, so if his voice is tired he may be forced to miss a CD signing and apologises in advance to any fans that do not get to meet him.

Templeorum Parish streaming live soon - Web streaming is coming soon to the Parish of Templeorum. Parishioners have had been very fortunate in having a radio service in the parish for well over a decade. The digital era is well and truly with us and both young and old utilise the media from dawn to dusk and are the flick of a button away from international news and social interaction. The Parish is to the forefront in bringing the Church to the people through it’s website which is now in existence since 2005. We have many queries from home and away re ancestry and other queries which are attended to regularly. We have now reached the stage where we want to bring “Templeorum Parish to the world and the world to Templeorum Parish” through the medium of “web streaming.” This is a digital service connecting all the services at Piltown Church to the people at home and the wide world. The church has already been surveyed and quotations have been tendered. We are assessing the service providers and will accept what we consider the best option soon. The advantages of having streamed services to the world and in particular to the house bound at home and in nursing homes are immense. This service will connect those who have emigrated or are unable to attend church functions. All will be part of the parish with this service. All streaming will be recorded and may be watched at any time. Material may also be downloaded for those wishing to have a copy of Baptisms, Weddings, funeral services, Christmas and Easter ceremonies etc. For those not wishing to have material recorded there is an on/off switch! in the control centre! For those who do not possess a laptop or pc you may use your iphone, ipod , tablet to view the content. A small Set Top Box may be either purchased or rented to use in connection with your TV if you have none of the above mobile devices .You will need broadband in the house! The web streaming is wholly digital and in line with the October deadline of RTE digital broadcasting. Hope you will like the service. If you need a time for quiet prayer and reflection log in to the live stream where reflective hymns will be streamed during the day when the service is in operation. If you have any views we would love to hear from you. Please keep your friends informed of the Parish website at: http://www.templeorumparish.com/where a link will be provided as soon as the streaming is available.
