Camogie - The Tullaroan intermediate won a very hard fought match against the Rower/Inistioge held at Bennettsbridge last week. The Rower /Inistioge team started off as the dominant team and at half time they were leading by seven points to Tullaroan three points. However tables turned in the second half with Noelle Maher scoring two wonderful goals and Tullaroan ploughed forward to seal victory on a scoreline of Tullaroan 3-05 to Rower/Inistioge 0-9.Tullaroan will now play Clara in their next match of the league.
Whist Drive - A whist drive will be held in the Tullaroan community Centre on 27th July commencing at 9pm. All proceeds will go to the Good Shepherd Centre, Kilkenny and your support would be very welcome.
50th Wedding Anniversary - Congratulations to Jack and Aggie Keoghan on celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary last week. Jack’s brother Fr. Michael Keoghan who is home from England for the occasion celebrated the 50th anniversary Mass in Freshford.
Barbecue- After the success of the barbecue last year, it has been decided to hold another this year. Date for your diary Sunday 5th August. As there is already great interest in this it is advisable to get your tickets early from any member of the committee. All proceeds earned will go to repaying the debt on the dressing room complex at the Tullaroan sports grounds. All support would be very much appreciated.

Recently Deceased- The death took on Tuesday last of Mrs. Bea Sheehan, Brittas, Tullaroan. Bea fought a great battle against her illness for the past year. She was a outgoing lady who had a great love of music, liked nothing more than a sing song and was an excellent tin whistle player. After Requiem Mass on Friday last con celebrated by Fr. P. Guilfoyle P.P. Tullaroan and Fr. Michael Keoghan, Hexam and Newcastle her remains were removed to the Tullaroan cemetery for burial. Bea is survived by her husband Jim, sons Alan, Craig and Brendan, sister, brothers, nieces, nephews relations and a very large circle of friends.
Hurling - The Tullaroan senior and U 14 teams have been invited to a tournament in Birr hurling club on Saturday 28th to celebrate the first All Ireland which was held in Birr, Co. Offaly. They will play Lough Eil Shamrock’s in the first match of the tournament on the main pitch in Birr at 11am.
