U14 FOOTBALLERS TOP THEIR GROUP-The O’Loughlin Gaels Under 14 footballers continued on their winning street during the week beating Dicksboro in round 2 of the league. The continent are top of their League Section with full points after two games
MINOR FOOTBALLERS RECORD GOOD VICTORY-The minor footballers from O’Loughlin Gaels beat Piltown in round 2 of their League Section at the weekend. They now lie second in their group after two games.
O’LOUGHLINS U11s,U12s AND U16s OFF TO GALWAY-Kilkenny will have plenty of support from O’Loughlin Gaels GAA in their first round Allianz League match against Galway next Sunday. No less than three teams from the club will play challenge matches against Galway opposition and then take in the League opener in Salthill. The U 11s and U12s will play Sarsfields while they U16s will be hosted by Craughwell.
FANTASY CHELTENHAM 2013-Kevin Cleere is hard at work organising his sales team for the forthcoming Fantasy Cheltenham competition. Run in conjunction with Erin’s Own GAA Club of Castlecomer, O’loughlin Gaels receives half of the €20 entry fee. For the punter it provides a recession busting way of “having an interest” in the action taking place between March 12th and 15th. NAME THE NEWSLETTER COMPETITION-A number of entries have been received for the O’Loughlin Gaels “Name the Newsletter” Competition. People are asked to name the new publication which will be out in time for St. Patrick’s Day. The winner of the €50 sports voucher will be announced in the newsletter which will have contributors from Johnswell, Dunmore and a “Blow Ins” column. Great work being done behind the scenes by John Collins,James Kelly and Brendan O Leary to get this publication out in time for its launch. SCRAP METAL FUNDRAISING DRIVE-O’Loughlin Gaels GAA Club is at present running a fund raiser through turning your Scrap Metal into cash. The funds raised will assist in running the Club and developing Club facilities. To do this we need your help! The project is straight forward any member or people in the locality with old scrap metal can donate their items to nominated committee members. So if you have scrap metal items such as old cars, steel plates, steel buckets, milking machines, saucepans or bicycles etc. please contact any of the following who would be delighted to hear from you. O’LOUGHLINS GOING TO THE GOWRAN RACES-The Kilkenny GAA Supporters club are holding a race day in Gowran Park on Saturday 23rd of March and O’Loughlin Gaels are running a bus from the club leaving at 1pm. The bus and ticket to the races cost just €15 (kids are free but must be accompanied). The bus will return to the Club straight after racing where the O’Loughlin Gaels Social Committee will have plenty of entertainment organised for the, hopefully wealthy, punters. SOMETHING BIG HAPPENING IN O’LOUGHLINS-There will be a big announcement over the next few days regarding something very big happening in O’Loughlins on Sunday 31st of March (Easter Sunday).
O’LOUGHLIN GAELS LOTTO STILL €20,000-The jackpot in the O’Loughlin Gaels Club Lotto has still not been won. The top prize of €20,000 can be claimed by anyone lucky enough to match four numbers and the bonus number. If a player matches the first four numbers they will claim €16,000. Every week the O’Loughlin Gaels Gaa Club give out €400 in consolation prizes and also add €200 to a reserve jackpot which will be played for once the current jackpot has been claimed.
