Tullaroan - Breakfast fundraiser a great success

Fundraiser - There was a great buzz on Sunday last from 9am to 12 noon when large crowds attended the full Irish breakfast held in the Community Centre in aid of the Tullaroan hurling club.

Fundraiser - There was a great buzz on Sunday last from 9am to 12 noon when large crowds attended the full Irish breakfast held in the Community Centre in aid of the Tullaroan hurling club.

The club would like to apologise for any delays during the morning as this was the first time that the new venture took place. A big thanks to all sponsors, those who attended and those who helped in making this breakfast such a success. The McCarthy Cup took pride of place in the Community Centre during the breakfast. The hurling club are delighted to announce that funds raised came to €2,800.00.

Peace in Christ - There will be a Church door collection on behalf of Peace in Christ retreat House on Saturday and Sunday 23rd and 24th February.

Bord Na Nóg - A bus will travel to Galway on Sunday 24th February for the Kilkenny V Galway match and anyone interested in going are asked to contact Simon Walton on 0876135548.

Minor Football - The Tullaroan minor football team over came Danesfort on a scoreline Tullaroan 3-15 to Danesfort 1-07 in a league match held at the Tullaroan sports grounds on Sunday afternoon last.

St. Vincent De Paul Society - There is a National fund available in the St. Vincent De Paul Society to assist people who are in second and third level education. Please contact the Society on 0864564813 for further information.

Spin and Win - Peter Butler was the lucky winner of €70.00 in the spin and win held at Connolly’s on Saturday last. The jackpot still stands at €1,000.00 and smaller prizes have now increased.

Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes - This year the pilgrimage takes place from 22nd to 27th May. Booking forms are available from Glenmore Parish Office on 051880414. Opening hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

Hurling - The senior and junior hurling teams resumed training on Friday last and will continue next weekend under manager, Declan Connolly.

Enable Ireland (the O’Neill Centre) - A sincere thanks to all those who contributed to the Church gate collection for the Enable Ireland (the O’Neill Centre) on the weekend of 9th and 10th February.

Presentation of Medals - Hurling All Ireland Winner Tommy Walsh will present the medals for the U14, U16 and minor teams in the Tullaroan community cenre on Saturday 23rd February after 7.30pm Mass.

Afternoon Tea Dance - The Tullaroan Community Centre will be the venue for an afternoon tea dance on Sunday 6th March. All are welcome to come along.

New Year, New Club Gear - Orders are being taken for Tullaroan G.A.A. replica jersey’s available from age 1/2 upwards. Orders are also being taken for club shorts from size 20” upwards, special offer on orders for shorts and socks. Anyone interested please contact Maeve (087)4177705.
