Ballyragget: Eager beavers turn on the lights

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTS - A sincere thank-you to all who turned out for the turning on of the Christmas tree lights last Wednesday. On a freezing cold night a great crowd gathered to listen to the carol singers and the speeches. The Square looks fabulous with the tree and decorations and great credit is due to the dedicated volunteers who work so tirelessly each year putting up the tree and decorations. Thanks to the Scouts and all their leaders for making the event so special. There will be a Church gate collection this weekend to cover the cost of the electricity and the other costs associated with this event and your support would be much appreciated.
