MOONDHARRIG PLAYERS - The group will present “Prisoners of Silence”by James Cheasty in Mooncoin Hall from Wednesday 6th March to Sunday 10th March 2013 at 8pm nightly. Producers Frank Hogan and Liam Hoban are busy putting the finishing touches to this year’s production. The cast is as follows: Helena Walsh-Kiely, Seamus Kearns,Liam Hoban, Stephen Kearns, Michael Conway, Frank Hogan, John Howley and Breda Walsh. We look forward to meeting you all in Mooncoin, and chatting over that welcome cuppa at ‘half time’ kindly provided by the ladies commitee.

Charity Wax Off - On Saturday the 2nd of March @ 8pm we are holding a charity night for Crumlin Childrens Hospital. We will have some lovely hairy volunteers who will be waxed to the hilt for our entertainment as well as the mental loonies THE WAXIES to keep us going for the night. We’ll have a raffle with some really lovely prizes and every single cent will go to Crumlins new cardiac and cancer units. These units are costing in excess of €8 million and we are only halfway there so loads still needs to be raised!! It’s all happening at The Rose of Mooncoin lounge.

Piltown Fine Gael Branch - Piltown Fine Gael branch will hold progressive 30’s card games in Moloney’s Skough commencing on March 5th at 9pm. Entry fee is €10.00 which includes refreshments.

A fishing trip of a lifetime - Ardaire Angling Centre are going to Iceland on 27 of august ,the team will be fishing for salmon sea trout, Artic char and brown trout these can be up to and over 20lbs, they will be staying in log cabins , all fishing gear and waders will be supplied. They are also doing a trip to Terrace in Nothern British Columbia to fish for salmon and steelhead in August 2013.

Southern British Columbia in Sept /Oct 2013 to fish for kings, Coho, Sokeye, chum and pink salmon, also the great white sturgeon, fantastic value on this trip this year. Ned is also preparing a trip for 2014 they will head for the Kola Penninsula Russia , in July 2014 for Atlantic salmon, this trip is very special ,the party will be flown into the camp in helicopters as there are no roads ,300 miles inside the Artic circle this is the best fishing in the world for Atlantic salmon ,fish over 25lbs - and up to 50lbs are not uncommon for full details on these trips and prices contact Contact Ned Maher for more details 0868128937.
