Meanwhile the Junior B Hurling team, led by team captain James Cunningham and vice-captain Cathal O’Neill, have made a storming start to the 2013 League season, convincingly winning their three matches to date against Galmoy, Conahy and Dicksboro. The team are hoping to win the Junior B title this year and many of the younger players will be pushing for a starting place in the senior team, so please try to go along and support the team in their forthcoming fixtures.

Danesfort Under-14 hurling team qualified for the Paddy Grace Feile Tournament semi-finals by winning all of their matches in the group stages last Saturday.

SOCCER - Fort Rangers will play Brookville in the quarter final of the McCalmont cup in Wallslough on Sunday at 11am. The Junior side drew 2-2 against Lions FC in their penultimate, St Canice’s Credit Union Premier League game, last Sunday in Wallslough. This result means Fort must get all three points in their last game versus Evergreen B, to survive the drop to division 1. If they share the points with Evergreen B, they will then be level with Clover United and a play-off will be needed to decide who will be playing Premier football next season. The permutations dictate that if Fort defeat Brookville in the Cup, they will play in the semi-final on Sunday week May 12. If they lose in the Cup they will take on Evergreen B in one of the most important games in their history.
