SCHOOLS CAMOGIE - The Skeough/Graig school Camogie team played their first two games in this competition during the week. First up for this team on Wednesday, April 24 was Bennetsbridge with the game ending on a final score of Skeough/Graig 2-0 Bennetsbridge 0-4. Their second match was against Ballyhale on Friday, April 26 with a final score of Skeough/Graig 5-5 Ballyhale 0-0. Well done to all involved.

SCHOOLS HURLING - The Skeough/Graig schools hurling team played two matches during the week. On Monday a home a game against Slieverue where the lads came out on top. On Wednesday, April 24 this team travelled to Carrickshock but unfortunately were beaten on a scoreline of Carrickshock 3-5 Skeough/Graig 2-2. Next match for this school team is Wednesday, May 1 against Kilmacow at 4pm which is currently a home fixture.

U14 St Fiacres - In the Duggan Steel U-14 Hurling League Roinn B Group A this team played Slieverue away in their first game in this League. Final Score Slieverue 0-12 St Fiacres 4-10. On Saturday this team travelled to Tom Ryall Park to compete in the U14 Feile. Unfortunately things went against them and they were defeated in all their matches. The teams that defeated the lads were Dunnamaggin, Danesfort and The Rower Inistioge.

U16 St Fiacres - Hurling league U16 Roinn B Bennettsbridge 2-9 St Fiacres 4-12.

Junior Hurling - Well done to the Blacks and Whites Junior Hurling team who beat Slieverue last Saturday evening in Slieverue in the first game of the League Championship. The lads were in a comfortable position at half time with a 2-5 to 0-4 lead after Jamie Byrne and Kevin Fitzpatrick both netted. They then saw off the challenge of the home side in the second period and ran out comfortable winners in the end on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-9.

Next up for Skeough in the league championship is a home game against neighbours Barrow Rangers in Tom Walsh Park on Saturday, May 11 at 7.30pm. St Martins will be the next competitive game however next weekend in the All County League when the lads travel to Coon on Saturday evening for a 7pm throw in.

The 8 weeks workshop is a personal development programme designed to help people over 55 explore their ageing process. The programme is run by two trained facilitators and looks at all aspects of ageing including physical, emotional and intellectual.
