Sister Anne Healy is an Irish nun from Killenaule, Tipperary. She works with the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, who have been operating in Cebu, the Philippines, since 2000. They work to help over 900 children and 400 families every day.

In the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, they are facing major difficulties in providing aid to the survivors. Because of shortages, the price of food has dramatically gone up and as a result they are struggling to provide for those in need.

There will be a fundraiser in Sheridan’s Pub, Ennisnag, Kilkenny on Saturday November 23 at 8.30pm where the aim is to raise as much money as possible.

All donations raised on the night will be going directly to Sister Anne Healy in the Philippines to help the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan.

The main event of the night will be an auction with a large number of unique items to bid for. Entertainment on the night is being provided free of charge by Jim Byrne, Jerry Delaney, Richie Hogan and Billy Barron, all formally of The Backdoor Blues Band.

A Bank Account has been set up in AIB Callan, for people who wish to donate –

Bank Account – Philippines Disaster Fund. Account No. - 07739033. Sort Code - 933090
