Indoor Bowls & The Knitting Circle have recommenced on Monday’s in Piltown Community Centre. Enquiries to John Burke on (087) 9746007.

The Library in Piltown Community Centre would welcome donations of new or used books. Piltown Juvenile GAA Club 2nd Annual Turkey Trot

Piltown Juvenile GAA Club will hold its 2nd Annual Turkey Trot on Sunday 8th December at 12.30. We have fine tuned our routes to ensure our distances are very accurate. This year our major attraction will be the 10km road race. We will also have a shorter 5km route for families and younger members of our Parish and beyond. Registration takes place on the day from 10am at the GAA Complex. Races will start & finish at the GAA Complex. There will be many prizes for all categories. Food will be served on the day. We hope to build on our success of last year to ensure that we have a fun day for all.

Annual Christmas Raffle & Cake Sale in aid of the Senior Citizens Party

Owning ICA will hold their Annual Christmas Raffle & Cake Sale in aid of the Senior Citizens Party in the Marion Hall, Owning on Sunday, December 1st. Tickets will be on sale during the coming weeks & your support would be greatly appreciated.

GAA Complex

Facing down the current economic climate the bar in Piltown GAA Complex is now being run by a contingent of voluntary members. Saturday nights will be available from January onwards for all types of parties & functions.

Craft evening

There will be a Christmas shopping evening in Piltown GAA Complex on Sunday 1st December, where all local crafts people can display & sell their wares to Christmas shoppers. Tea, coffee & snacks will be available to shoppers. If you have a little home industry & would like to sell your products for an evening please contact Kate to book a table for just €5, (087) 9451394.

Camogie Club’s 2014 Calendar

Piltown Camogie Club have made a beautiful calendar for 2014. You can buy one for €10 from Centra or any committee member. It makes a lovely Christmas present to send abroad as it fits into an A4 envelope.

The Church of Ireland Fiddown Union of Parishes will be holding their annual Parish Christmas Bazaar on Saturday 30th November in the Parish Hall (opposite Anthony’s, Piltown) from 10.30a.m. to 1p.m. All welcome.

Kieran Doyle son of Mauney & Leo Doyle, Baungarrif successfully passed his Black Belt grading recently also Dillon Jacob son of Anthony & Siobhan Jacob, Jamestown who also passed his Black Belt Grading.
