HURLING legend DJ Carey has been released from hospital and has been given a clean bill of health pending the outcome of tests carried out on him yesterday.

The former Kilkenny hurler has kept his location secret to get away from journalists who had camped outside his old home in Gowran and at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny where he was detained yesterday after collapsing in the city’s Garda station where he was waiting to get a form signed. He is expected to return to Young Ireland GAA Club hurling fields later this week as he continues to train the club’s intermediate team.
