Ceili - - The South Kilkenny & Waterford branches of the Parkinson’s Association & Multiple Sclerosis Society will host a ceili in the Community Centre, Kilmacow from 3-00pm to 6.00pm on Sunday next, 25th November. Music will be provided by Ger Murphy and Ken Cotter. Admission is €10. Refreshments will be served. All support would be appreciated.
South Ossory PTAA Dinner Dance - The annual dinner dance of the South Ossory Pioneer Total Abstinence Association will be held at 8.30pm on Friday, 23rd November in the Rhu Glen, Slieverue. Music will be provided by Twice Shy. Tickets cost €30.
Kilmacow Hurling & Football Club AGM - The annual general meeting of Kilmacow Hurling and Football Club will be held in the Nore Room in the Community Centre, Kilmacow. All members are encouraged to attend. Scrap Metal Collection - Kilmacow Hurling & Football Club is organising a scrap metal free collection service for Saturday and Sunday, 15th and 16th December. Anyone who wishes to avail of the service should contact Micheál Atkins, Michael Ryan, Rory Williams James O’Neill or anyone of the committee of Kilmacow GAA Club.
Senior Citizens Bazaar - Senior Citizens will host their annual Christmas Bazaar from 2.00pm to 5.00pm on Sunday, 9th December in the Community Centre, Kilmacow. All support would be appreciated.
Grannagh United Table Quiz - Grannagh United will host a table quiz in Doyle’s in Carrigeen at 9.00pm on Friday, 30th November. Cost per table of four is €20. All support welcome.
St. Senan’s BNS Parents’ Association Table Quiz - The next quiz for this season will be for the Parents Association of St. Senan’s Boys’ National School. The quiz will take place in the Fox’s Den on Monday 3rd December. Parents of the boys are especially asked to make up teams and support the event. Past pupils, their families and people of Kilmacow are also asked to come along and make it a special evening.
Kilmacow Soccer Club - It wasn’t a good weekend for the Club. Three teams were in action and all three lost. The Under 11s went down 5-2 in Carrick. Anthony Dunphy and Fionn Blanche scored the goals. .The Under 15s were beaten 1-0 away to Abbeyside. The Division 1B team lost 3-1 at home to St. Paul’s in the Munster Junior Cup. Sam Green scored the goal. We hope to fare much better this weekend. The Under 12s are away to Park Rangers, leaving Kilmacow at 9.30 for a 10.30 kick off and the Under 14s are away to De La Salle, leaving Kilmacow at 1.30 for a 2.30 kick off.
Christmas season of cards in Coolagh - The Christmas Card-games of “25”s commence this Thursday in Coolagh Hall, three miles from Callan on the Windgap road. Prizes of hams and hampers. All welcome.
Christmas events upcoming in Kilmacow - The annual Christmas Party will be held in the Community Centre on Saturday, 8th December with music provided by Walk the Line. Tickets cost €25.
