Thomastown Community River Trust - Thomastown Community River Trust are holding a launch event to celebrate their conservation work on the “Nore Lass,” a traditional racing cot built by Thomas Cuddihy circa 1905.
The launch will take place in: Grennan Mill Craft School on Friday 12th April at 7.00 pm. The “Nore Lass” will remain on permanent display in the foyer of the school. Tea and sandwiches will be served. All welcome. For more information, call Jerry gardner on 087 6637466

Soccer - Thomastown United Junior A side claimed back 2nd place in the K&DL Premier Division last Sunday morning with a 1-0 away win over Clover Utd. In a blustery Rathdowney it took until the 2nd half before Thomastowns Seanie Brennan could break the deadlock and score a cheeky chip over the keeper to give United all 3 points. The Junior A’ s are away next Sunday against Bridge Utd B in the last 16 of the McCalmount Cup. All support greatly appreciated.
The Junior B’s were home to Fort Rangers in the McCalmount Cup last Sunday morning in United Park. After an intense game Thomastown were unfortunate to come away rom the game on the wrong side of a 3-2 score line. On target for Thomastown was Danny McDonald with both goals.
SFAI Cup Semi-Final - Thomastown Utd under 14’s travel to Offaly on the weekend of 20th/21st April to take on Edenderry Town in the Semi-Final of the SFAI Goodson Cup. Over 350 teams entered this competition and Thomastown have reached the last 4. This in itself is a major achievement for the team and club as no other team in the Schoolboys have ever got this far before. The club will be running bus’s to this game and details will be available on our website and Facebook page soon.

Kilkenny Community & Voluntary Forum - The South East Regional Drugs task Force (SERDTF),Kilkenny Community & Voluntary Forum and Kilkenny Leader Partnership are jointly organising a community consulation Seminar on the subject of substance misuse. The seminar will be on the morning of Friday 19th April 2013. The venue will be the Pembrooke Hotel, 11 Patrick Street, Kilkenny from 9:30am to 1:30pm. A light lunch will be served.
