COMPETITION-A monthly newsletter to be emailed out to all members and supporters of O’Loughlin Gaels is being produced at present and the hardworking committee of John Collins, Brendan O’Leary, James Kelly, Damien O Connell and yours truly are looking for a name for the information sheet. They have just announced a competition to find a name for the e-pamphlet. The prize for the lucky winner will be a €50 sports voucher. U 14 REGISTRATION ON NEXT FRIDAY-Registration for the Under 14 O’Loughlin Gaels Hurling and Football teams for 2013 will take place in the O’Loughlin Gaels GAA complex on this Friday night at 8.30pm. Boys born in 1999 and 2000 are asked to attend. O’Loughlin Gaels are proud to be able to charge just €10 for the annual membership for all its Juvenile hurlers. From Under 6s to Minor (U18) young hurlers wearing the white and green can avail of 2 world class handball courts, a full size gymnasium, a sauna, modern dressing rooms and changing areas, 2 full size Croke Park style pitches (which are quickly been regarded as among the best in the country) and modern catering facilites. In the present economic times, it is indeed very pleasant to see such fantastic value for parents to avail of.
DATE SET FOR O’LOUGHLIN GAELS JUVENILE REGISTRATION-O’Loughlin Gaels Juvenile Chairman,Brian Skehan, has announced that Sunday morning February 10th will be “Registration Sunday” in the club for all players from Under 6 to Under 12. All new players are most welcome and players starting to play can buy helmets and hurls at greatly reduced prices which are subsidised by the club. As with other years it is hoped O’Loughlin Gaels Camogie Club will also have their registration at the same time.
Players are asked to be ready to go out and enjoy their first training session of the new season after they pay their €10 registration on the day.
O’LOUGHLIN GAELS LOTTO STILL €20,000-€2 will get you a ticket for the biggest Local Lotto in Kilkenny. €20,000 is the top prize if you match 4 numbers and the bonus number. There are 10 consolation prizes of €40 awarded weekly once the match 4 is not claimed. TEXAS HOLDEM -STILL GOING STRONG IN O’LOUGHLINS.The longest running Texas Holdem Poker Tournament running in Kilkenny takes place every Thursday Night in O’Loughlin Gaels at 8.30. The game has a friendly sociable atmosphere and new players are always encouraged to play. Entry costs €20 with a €10 buy back. All are welcome.
PARISH SOCIAL-The annual parish social will take place next Sunday in Langton House Hotel starting at 8.30 p.m. Dancing to ‘Cupla’. Tickets available at the Sacristy and the Presbytery at €5 each.

SUICIDE PREVENTION MEETING ON WEDNESDAY 23rd OF JANUARY-Lifeline Kilkenny will hold a Community Planning meeting in Butler House, Patrick Street, next Wednesday at 7.30pm. The purpose of the meeting is to seek people’s ideas and thoughts on how we can put in place actions that can be included in a County Kilkenny Action Plan for Suicide Prevention, 2014-19. All are welcome to this worthwhile event. Together we can make a difference.
