Monroe School - The Board of Management would like to thank all who took part and subscribed to the 3K/6K Fun Run/Walk which took place in Hugginstown on Monday, April 1. Thanks to all the organisers; the catering; the stewards etc. It was a very successful event due to the community effort of all.

Bingo - Bingo Session in the Community Centre, Stoneyford on every Tuesday at 8.30pm.

Youth 2000 - Youth 2000 Ireland will be hosting a youth retreat in Castlecomer Community School, Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny from Friday to Sunday, April 19 - 21. The weekend will consist of workshops, drama, inspirational talks, testimonies, prayer, music, games and plenty of chill out time. Retreat starts with registration on Friday at 8pm. This is a great opportunity to find out what your faith is all about in a friendly, chilled out atmosphere. For young people aged 16-35, Under 18s must download booking form on website. Please feel free to drop into the retreat at anytime over the weekend & bring a sleeping bag if you choose to avail of accommodation. Cost is donation only.

Karate Classes - Karate Classes for children in Stoneyford Community Hall every Tuesday from 3.30pm to 4.15pm. Classes are open to all boys and girls, ages 4 years to 12 years old. Classes commencedon Tuesday, April 9. All will be taught basic self defence and karate techniques. Their will also be an emphasis on physical fitness. Classes will be conducted in a manner suitable for young people. All classes taught by black belt Instructors. Karate training offers many benefits including increased fitness and flexibility, improved co-ordination and concentration to mention just a few. Free Electrical Recycling Day - This will take place at Stoneyford Community Centre on Tuesday, April 9 from 9am to 12 noon. Any household items with a plug or battery accepted! Please do not leave electrical items at the location before or after the designated time as this will be treated as illegal dumping.
