THE Marriage was cebebrated by Fr. Noel Dunphy in St. Joseph’s Church Mountmellick of Robert Lee, Main St. Stoneyford and Niamh Cullen, Mountmellick Co Laois. The Bride was attended by her bridesmaids, Ann Furlong, Sarah Redmond and Dawn O’Reilly and flowergirls, Aoife Curtin, Chloe Curtin, Rachael Lee, Emma Power and Tara Curtin. The Groom had Noel Power (friend) as his bestman and Kane and Gary Ryan (cousins) and Niall Power as Groomsmen. The reception was held in Lyrath House Hotel and the honeymoon is being spent in Thailand.

Soccer -Stoneyford Utd Soccer Club have resumed for the 2012/2013 season. Training sessions take place every Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7.30pm in Malzards Field. New members are always welcome.

Certificate in Theological Studies Programme - St. Kieran’s College: The course aims at providing religious education, faith formation and spiritual enrichment for those actively engaged in parish life or in the pastoral care of people, young and old. It helps create confidence and conviction for future volunteers in the life of the parish and the church. The course runs for 24 weeks, from September to May on Mondays and Thursdays, from 7pm to 9.30pm. Application Forms are available in sacristy. Closing date for applications is August 24. 2012.
