PUBLIC MEETING - The development of wind farms within the county will be the subject for discussion at an open meeting which will be convened at the Scouts Den which is situated beside the Boathouse. Staff members from Kilkenny Co. Council will be present to answers any questions regarding the construction of wind farms and whether they should or should not be developed. It all comes under the auspices of the Kilkenny Development Plan and the Kilkenny City and Environs Plan. No doubt everyone has an opinion on the subject and all queries will be answered openly and transparently at the meeting which will take place on Wednesday of this week August 1st. commencing at 7.30pm. A big crowd is expected to attend and hopefully the picture will be clearer following deliberations.

G.A.A. - Graig G.A.A and Camogie Clubs are running a Field Day in aid of Club funds on Sunday August 12th. Commencing at 12.30pm with an 8KM fun walk or run if you feel up to it around the town taking in the by pass, High St., Tinnahinch Main St. and finishing at the Hurling pitch at Harristown. Among the many attractions planned are Under Age Hurling and Camogie blitz, Barbecue, Childrens and Novelty Races, Face Painting, Doggie Show, Soccer Shoot out, Spinner, Pony Rides and numerous other attractions.
