St. Canice’s: Great children’s Christmas party at Dicksboro club

Medal Presentation-Cillian Buckley may have been our special guest to present our under 14 panel with their medals last Saturday in Palmerstown but the stars of the show were definitely the boys themselves. It was a night of very well deserved celebration as this group had won County Roinn ’A’ Hurling Championship, Roinn ‘A’ Hurling League and Roinn ’A’ Football Championship this year. They had also represented their club and county with distinction at the Féile Péil na nOg tournament during the summer. Chairman, Eddie Holohan and team manager, Donal Carroll, rightly heaped praise on these boys and wished them every success in the future. Cillian also gave the boys some words of encouragement and advice. Following that Eddie made a presentation to Cillian on behalf of the members of the club to mark his own success of winning an All Ireland medal this year and he in turn presented Eddie with a framed photo of the winning Kilkenny team for display in the club.
