CONFIRMATION - His Lordship, Seamus Freeman Bishop of Ossory will be celebrating the scarament of confirmation in the church of St. James, Glenmore on Sunday at 11am. Forty six young people from the parish of Glenmore will be receiving the sacrament and all preparations are in the final stages of readiness.
Thanks is given to Fr. O’ Connor and all the class teachers of Glenmore and Ballyfacey National Schools for all their preparations.
FIRST CONFESSIONS - The second class pupils of Ballyfacey and Glenmore national schools, a total of nineteen pupils, made thier First Confessions last Thursday evening in the church of St. James at 7.30pm in preparation for their First Holy Communion to be held on Sunday 12th May 2013. Thanks to all the class teachers for all their preparations.
EIGSE PLAYERS- The Slieverue/Glenmore based Eigse Players are presenting a two act comedy ‘’ Nil by Mouth ‘’ play starting this Thursday at 8pm in the Slieverue parish hall and contuining on Friday March 1, 2nd, 7th and 8th. You are asked to note that the Saturday night performances will be at 8.30pm following Saturday evening mass. Admission is ten euro for adults and five euro for children. Your

GOLDEN JUBILEE- Many congratulations at this time to Fr. Michael Mernagh, of Forristalstown, Glenmore on the occasion of his golden of his ordination to the priesthood.
FASHION SHOW - The Glenmore GAA club are holding a fashion show on Friday March 22nd in the Rhu Glen. Tickets are currently on sale at this time and your support for this fundraiser would be much appreciated.
MEDAL PRESENTATION- A medal presentation took place recently in Glenmore hall to the underage young boys, the under 10 hurlers, the under 16 hurlers and the minor hurlers. On hand was former Kilkenny senior hurler, Christy Heffernan to present the certs and medals.
Chairman of the Juvenile GAA section of the Glenmore GAA club, Ray Byrne welcomed everyone and outlined the successes of 2012 and he thanked all the players, trainers, mentors and parents for all their help and support and wished all the teams the very best for 2013 playing season.Teas and light refreshments were served after the presentations and thanks to the ladies committee for same.
