Intermediate Football - The Blacks and Whites Intermediate footballers picked up their first win of the season last weekend when they defeated Danesfort in Tom Walsh Park last Saturday. The final score of 2-10 to 0-01 would suggest an easy win however at half time the home side were only ahead 0-04 to 0-00 and had to credit John O Grady and a steady full back line not to concede any scores to the visiting side. However the home side to their credit did put their game together in the second period and pulled away with goals from John Murphy and Michael Doyle opening the flood gates and skeough tagged on points at will from there. The lads now face St Patricks Ballyraggett next weekend in the last round of the league. Team: J O Grady, A Barcoe, S Kealy, P Joyce, Jos Murphy, N Kennedy, T Joyce, M Moloney, S Doyle, J Lennon, M Moloney, J Lawlor, M Doyle, K Fitzpatrick, J Murphy.
