This very successful Golf Classic has made a very significant financial contribution to costs of the building of the Parish Community Centre, Cois Abhainn for many years and continues to help service the financial commitments outstanding. Apart from the days golfing, a very enjoyable part of the day has been the social event involving the presentation of prizes hosted by the ever popular Micheal O’Muircheartaig, and the ceol agus craic afterwards in the bar of the Golf Club. This part of the day is enjoyed by golfers and non-golfers alike. Our local group, The Hatchery Folk will provide the music for the night. There is an open invitation to everyone in the parish to attend at 9-9.30.
