Kilkenny senior hurler and O'Loughlin Gaels centre-back, Paddy Deegan, got in the festive mood on Friday, dressing up in a Barbie outfit ahead of the halloween bank-holiday weekend and his team's Senior County Final with Shamrocks Ballyhale.
Deegan, 28, is a primary school teacher at Clara National School and is expected to line-out at the heart of the defence for the St John's based club in Sunday's finale against six in a row chasing Shamrocks.
The biggest day in Kilkenny club hurling is bound to be nerve jangling for management, players and supporters, but in the lead-up to the mouth watering clash, the inter-county star took time-out to let his hair down with pupils and staff.
