Voting steady in Kilkenny for general election

Voting remains steady in Kilkenny city and county  for the general election with many rural polling stations reporting a high turnout at 1.30pm.

Polling booths in Castlecomer were 34% while Moneenroe is at 31%.

At 1.15pm,  Callan was at 26%.

The expected surge in student voting has not materialised yet
