There was smiles all round in Castlecomer District Hospital and Day Care Centre earlier this week as Rose of Tralee and Dancing with the Stars winner Katelyn Cummins visited residents.

Cummins, who represented Laois in the Rose competition, has a deep connection with both Laois and Kilkenny, hailing from Ballyouskill.

“It was a privilege to spend time chatting, listening to stories, and experiencing the warmth and kindness that fills the centre every day,” she posted to social media.

“Thank you to everyone who made us feel so welcome – it was a visit I won’t forget.”
