Additional train services for All-Ireland SHC Final expected to sell out 'within minutes'

Additional train services for All-Ireland SHC Final expected to sell out 'within minutes'

All roads lead to Croke Park on July 23, but those travelling to the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship are being asked to keep an eye on the Irish Rail website for tickets as additional services are expected to sell out 'within minutes'.

After a busy weekend journeying to the Semi-Final, a spokesperson for Irish Rail has said: "We are currently working on a service plan to provide additional services from Limerick for the All-Ireland."

Expected to have the services available for purchase 'later this week', those at the train service are warning customers to be on the lookout as services are expected to go quickly in order to make the 3.30pm throw-in.

In a statement from Irish Rail, the spokesperson continued: "Whatever additional capacity we can provide, we expect demand to outweigh it, so we expect the services to sell out within minutes."

As it stands, regular trains with departures from Limerick Colbert between 8:25am and 12:25pm, and returns from 6pm to 9:10pm from Dublin Heuston have already sold-out.

Customers are being asked to check irishrail.ie for updates, and are being asked to note that there will be priority for those who book online.
