On September 14, 2003, the 116th All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final took place at Croke Park in Dublin.
The match featured defending champions Kilkenny and rivals Cork, culminating in a 1-14 to 1–11 victory for The Cats.
This counties previously met in the 1999 All-Ireland Final when Cork emerged as the victors by a single point.
