Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy has ranked top in a list of handsome Irish celebrities, according to a new study.
The findings were based on nationwide searches made for each celebrity paired with terms like ‘hot’ and ‘attractive’.
Jamie Dornan and Paul Mescal rank second and third, while Evanna Lynch ranks as the most searched-for Irish woman.
Comparison site Casinos Sweeps analysed nationwide Google searches focusing on popular celebrities to determine America's favourite Irish stars.
Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy has eclipsed fellow man-of-the-moment Paul Mescal in popularity, racking up a whopping 4,242 Google searches per month.
In comparison, Normal People star Paul Mescal attracted 2,735 average monthly searches, placing him third behind Jamie Dornan.
Dornan is known for his roles in The Fall and 50 Shades of Grey - which may account for a significant portion of the 2,850 average searches he receives each month.
Speaking on the findings, a spokesperson said: “The visibility and acclaim of Irish stars in TV and film are at an all-time high, with Cillian Murphy's intense performances leading the charge.
“His roles, alongside the likes of Saoirse Ronan, Paul Mescal, and Barry Keoghan, are showcasing the rich talent pool Ireland offers. It’ll be interesting to see how the fan interest in these celebrities will change over the next few months, especially given the upcoming series of Bridgerton.”
Placing fourth and coming out as the most searched-for Irish woman overall is Evanna Lynch, who is best known for portraying the quirky Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter series, with 2,029 average searches per month.
Niall Horan takes the fifth position with 1,802 average searches each month, having successfully transitioned from his boyband roots in One Direction to a solo artist, as well as appearing as a judge on The Voice.
In sixth and seventh are Lady Bird’s Saoirse Ronan with 1,744 average searches each month, and Saltburn standout Barry Keoghan with 1,265 average searches.
