LOCAL ARTIST Daithi Holohan has created a stunning watercolour of the Marble City to accommpany his recording of Kilkenny-The Best of Them All.

LOCAL ARTIST Daithi Holohan has created a stunning watercolour of the Marble City to accommpany his recording of Kilkenny-The Best of Them All.

The song was written by the late Richard Farrell. “It is a well known hurling anthem and I am bringing it out for the All Ireland. There is a verse in it about Cork, Tipperary and Galway. I first heard the song from the singer Johnny Purcell who is an avid hurling fan from Leggettsrath. Daithi performs voals and guitars and John Travers is responsible for the backing track. The CD is available from Rollercoaster Records for €5.
