Students from a Kilkenny school are preparing to perform with one of Ireland’s renowned composer/performers.

Kilkenny CBS Secondary School Choir will be joining Julie Feeney when she hits the Watergate Theatre stage on November 22.

The multi-award-winning and critically acclaimed star releases her third album, Clocks, this weekend.

Written in Ballinahinch Castle and Lough Inagh Cottages in Galway and recorded at Kylemore Abbey Gothic Church, the music’s led to an extensive Irish tour across November and December for which she’s scored special music for the 10 choirs who’ll accompanying her at different stages.

It follows a sold-out performance at the Highline Ballroom, New York and a 10-show sell-out residency in the Irish Arts Centre.

Julie’s also been busy writing and performing her first opera, Bird, at the Project Arts Centre as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival. She’s also in advanced stages of creating videos, both live and animated, for each track on the new album.
