The jewel in the crown of the local festival series has been polished up and is ready to sparkle from this weekend.
It’s the 41st year of the Kilkenny Arts Festival and, with those years of experience under its belt enhanced by some fresh ideas, this year’s occasion promises to be great.
Music, theatre, street entertainment and the arts in all their guises will unfold in a ten-day spread, with something for everyone in many venues.
Alongside the main events, a fringe festival’s set to run offering a wealth of local and visiting talent.
Kyteler’s Inn’s the hub for much of the activity, but you’ll find creativity at many coffee shops, hotels, bars, schools and pretty much every available space.
Meanwhile the Cruthu Children’s art workshops and Bible Stories run from Monday to Friday at Kilkenny Presbyterian Church for those aged 5-12 years.
