THE Durrow Arts and Irish Festival kicks off this Saturday and continues until March 20.
This Saturday will see a children’s arts workshop, a Music Taster Workshop, amateur open photographic competition and juvenile open photographic competition, as well as the opening of the AIB Photo Journalist Competition and a lecture on ‘The Use of the Shamrock in Irish Decorative Art’. The night will be rounded off with a Battle of the Axe Comedy Night, direct from RTÉ’s The Panel and featuring Bernard O’Shea, Kevin McAleer, Fred Cooke, Sue Collins and Mairead O’Connell.
Sunday includes the launch of the visual arts exhibition and Irish crafts fair; and Sunday tea dancing.
