tidy towns- The residents of Dungarvan Village and the approach roads to the village take great care of their premises and their road frontage. Their efforts create a very attractive picture and draw very complimentary remarks from passers-by and visitors alike. The commitment of village caretaker John Morris in co-operation with the Development and Tidy Towns Committee ensures that the village looks its best at all times. In spite of all that, an extra special effort is made for the Tidy Towns Competition. Work is already in progress, flowers are being planted, Jim McCarthy’s Shop and house [a very prominent landmark] has dressed up in a new colour scheme for the occasion and there is an air of Spring and Summer about.
