A NUMBER of exhibitions will take place at Shankill Castle during the Kilkenny Arts Festival.
The opening will take place on August 12 by Norah Casey and there will be recitals from Ilka Scobie, Peter Somerville-Large and Gillian Somerville-Large at 3pm. There will also be an open air projection by Luigi Cazzaniga from 8pm.
This is the 21st year of hosting exhibitions during the Kilkenny Arts Festival. There will be a delightful range of wonderful poets, writers, film-makers and painters (the latter of which includes three of the five members of the Cope family) exhibiting their works.
There will also be poetry from New York poet and art critic Ilka Scobie, who will reciting from her latest publication Local Sky.
Italian photographer and film-maker (and husband of Ilka Scobie) Luigi Cazzaniga will not only have a selection of his films and photographs on show but also be showing his large scale outdoor projections from August 10 – 12 from 8pm.
