Kilkenny County Council Arts Office is delighted to announce Dabbledoo as part of our ‘Siamsa’ programme
This fun programme will support groups of 7 to 12 year olds in a five-day journey in music making. DabbledooMusic is a new system of creative music making for young musicians designed by music teacher Shane Mc Kenna in collaboration with visual artist Killian Redmonk. This system uses a series of specially designed musical activities to encourage group performance and composition using graphic notation and a free online resource website. Each session will cover a different area of music making leading up to an ensemble performance and recording of the groups compositions on the final day. The course follows the program set out in the accompanying website, DabbledooMusic.com. This will allow participant to review and practice material from each session at home. This is a great opportunity for the children to work with a professional musician furthering their
creativity, using their imagination and being resourceful in a fun and relaxed environment.
The course caters for children aged from seven to 12 and the course runs from October 30 to November 3. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org
