The Break-Away Project Theatre Company, led by Ballyhale local Helena Byrne, bring their production of the hilarious ‘It Came From Mars’ by Joseph Zettelmaier to Cleere’s Theatre for one weekend only.
The ply is set in New York on October 30, 1938. In New York a troupe of radio actors attempt to rehearse their own show the night that Orson Welles delivers his famous War of the Worlds broadcast. Upon hearing the broadcast, the actors fly into hysterics, believing they’re about to be obliterated by aliens. Honesty and hilarity ensue when the dramatic dramatists are faced with true drama.
The show will be in Cleere’s Theatre for an evening performance on April 20 and there will be a matinee performance on April 21.
The cast includes Karen Davidson Perrins, Michael Heavey, Helena Byrne, Stephen Gorman, Ciarán McGlynn and Sue Barrett and the play is directed by Anthony Kinahan. Tickets are €12, €10 Student/Senior
Tickets are now on sale on The Break-Away Project’s website: http://thebreakawayproject.com/tickets/
